Safeguarding your personal data is a top priority for us at PIXID. Our aim is to be as transparent as possible about which personal data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. This privacy policy is intended to provide you with such information regarding your personal data. In addition to this, you are always welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding the processing of your personal data. 2. Which personal data do we use, and how do we gather it?

We process the personal data you provide to us. 

To handle your orders and purchases, we require the following information about you:

  • name;
  • address, phone number and e-mail;
  • date of birth (for some payment methods);
  • payment information and payment history; and
  • information about your order, e.g. order number, product(s), delivery address, and invoice.

We collect and process the above mentioned personal data as it is necessary in order for us to fulfil our obligations pursuant to the Purchase Agreement, including deliver your orders and purchases as well as gathering the payment from you. If you are unable to provide the requested information to us, we may be unable to deliver your orders and purchases. 

The information is saved for 36 months, from the time both delivery and payment have been processed, for the purpose of helping you with potential complaints and returns. If you choose the “Save for my next payment” option, we’ll save your card information for future safe purchasing with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

In order for us to comply with applicable rules and regulations, we require the following information about you:

  • name;
  • address;
  • payment information and payment history; and
  • information about your order, e.g. order number, product(s) and delivery address.

We collect and process the above mentioned personal data as it is necessary in order for us to comply with legal obligations that are applicable to us, e.g. the Book-keeping Act which require us to save information for at least seven years in addition to the current year. 

In order to provide you with customer service, we require the following information about you:

  • name;
  • phone number and e-mail;
  • date of birth (for some payment methods);
  • payment information and payment history;
  • information about your order, e.g. order number, product(s), delivery address, and invoice; and
  • other information you personally provide during your communication with us.

We collect and process the above mentioned personal data as it is necessary in order for us to fulfil our legitimate interest of providing you with good and reliable customer service, including answering any questions you may have. We save the information for 14 months from the time your customer service inquiry is closed.

In order to analyse, develop and improve our services, products and system, we require the following information about you;

  • purchasing and user-generated data, such as click and hit history;
  • technical data surrounding devices and their settings, e.g. IP-address, web browser settings, time zone, operating system, and platform; and
  • information regarding how you interact with us, e.g. how you use the site, where and how long you visit certain pages, response times, error codes, how you arrive to and leave the service, etc.

We collect and process the above mentioned personal data as it is necessary in order for us to fulfil our legitimate business interest, including our legitimate interest of improving and developing our site, products and the offers. We do this through analysis on an aggregated level, i.e. that the analysis is general and not at an individual level. We save the data, as a basis for the plain text analysis, up to one year after your most recent activity. 

How we gather personal data

The personal data is often gathered from the person whom the personal data belongs to. However, we may also gather the personal data by obtaining information from publicly available registers, public authorities, credit rating agencies, banks or information companies.

We sometimes share data, such as personal info, with various recipients in order to provide the services mentioned above. We never sell your information to anyone else without your approval. Potential recipients of your information are:

Delivery service providers

In order to fulfil the purposes of our processing of your personal data, we share your personal data with companies providing services to us, e.g. to deliver your items or providing certain systems. These companies can only process your personal data according to our explicit instructions and cannot use your information for any other reason.

Payment service providers

In order to manage payments via the site, we use various payment services. The payment service provider is responsible for their own use of your personal data and has separate conditions which apply for them. Information regarding their conditions and handling of your personal data will be available after you have selected which payment method to use on the site. We recommend that you read the relevant payment service provider’s privacy policy to learn more about their use of your personal data.

Website analytics

We may also partner with selected third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics and SEO, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on our site through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyse and track users’ use of the site, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. If all or a portion of our organisation is purchased or integrated with another organisation, your personal data may be provided to our advisors, potential buyers and their advisors, and may be provided to the new owners of the business.

Transfers outside the EU

PIXID may transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA. When we transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA we ensure that the personal data receives a level of protection that are essentially equivalent to the protection ensured within the EU, which includes ensuring that one of the following conditions apply to the transfer:

  • the EU Commission has decided that there is an adequate level of protection in the country in question;
  • other appropriate safeguards have been taken, for example the use of the standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission; or
  • that there exists an exception (in specific situations).
